After a 14 year Banking career, in 2002, Michael and Latarsha Gullatte Co-founded Christ for the Nations Church in North Carolina.

Since its inception the Church has planted roots in Guatemala, Costa Rica, London England, Dominican Republic, Burkina Faso and Benin, W. Africa— soon after the ministry establishment, the Gullatte’s also founded (CCRM) the Cleveland County Rescue Mission. A ministry that serves to fix the most broken things for homeless men, women and children Country-Wide.

The mission offers on site High School Equivalency Exams, workforce development classes, introduction to Career Academies, Basic Computer Skills, Personal Finance and Interview soft skills, etc. The mission has witnessed the metamorphosis of many lives. The mission has received State and National recognition

Michael received the “Spirit of Freedom” award. The Spirit of Freedom Award presented each year by the Star, honors a resident whose accomplishments exemplify the values of The Star and its parent company, Freedom Communications. Those values are integrity, respect for individual freedom, community, self-responsibility, and lifelong learning.

He received a Sabbatical award from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. The foundation recognizes five outstanding non-profit leaders in the State of N.C. who have improved the quality of life for North Carolinians.

Michael is a graduate of N.C. School of Banking, UNC @ Chapel Hill, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude from More Than Conqueror’s College in Charlotte, NC.

The Gullatte’s have three adult children; Maurice, Miera & Michael II.
